The Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green is proud to sponsor six scholarships for students enrolled in Bowling Green City Schools and/or Eastwood Schools. The Joan Gordon Memorial Service Scholarship–one scholarship awarded; Davis Memorial Scholarship–one scholarship awarded; and Kiwanis Scholarship–four scholarships awarded. The application process opens February 1 and closes on February 27.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be enrolled in Bowling Green City Schools and/or Eastwood Schools.
Candidates must attend or plan to attend an educational institution in the U.S.
Candidates must be graduating seniors of Bowling Green High School and/or Eastwood High School.
Candidates must have contributed significant time and/or effort in one or more community service programs throughout the year.
Candidates must demonstrate leadership abilities.
Final day to apply is February 27.
The amount awarded per scholarship is approximately $1,000 to $2,000.

At our first meeting of 2026, on January 8, Wood County Sheriff (and Kiwanian) Mark Wasylyshyn conducted the "Youth Protection" training required by Kiwanis International. Drew Hanna spoke words of remembrance for our late fellow member Steve Riewaldt as Steve's wife Marilyn looked on. President Paul Herringshaw introduced our guest speakers in the annual January series with emphasis on agriculture, which Paul organized. Speakers Jordan and Thomas Hertzfeld of Hertzfeld Poultry Egg Farm kept the club's interest with information about the complex process of large-scale egg production. ... See MoreSee Less
