Youth Services Grants

Funding Examples:

  • BGHS Bobcat-a-thon Committee received a grant to purchase food and supplies for a student dance marathon.  Admission fees from attendees were directed to Mercy Children’s Hospital.
  • Bowling Green Youth Baseball has received grants to help fund Rookie, Pee Wee, Junior and Senior Leagues.
  • A grant to the Wood County Junior Fair Livestock Showcase & Sale Buyers Group helps introduce young Junior Fair exhibitors, who show market livestock, to the farming/sales experience.
  • The Wood County Educational Service Center, Community Learning Centers program, provides summer school for students who need extra help.  Kiwanis provided funding support for recreational rewards for the kids.
  • The Children’s Resource Center at the Wood County Public Library has received grants for their annual purchase of children’s books for the holidays.
